Ladies Nights

The program that started it all! Building and maintaining lasting friendships is crucial for a happy, healthy life. Ladies Nights strive to foster an environment where all women are welcome and feel comfortable participating; a place to let loose, laugh and connect with other women. Every Friday we host movie, DIY (do it yourself) and games nights, happy hours, karaoke, dinners and more… events so fun and fearless you’ll be saying, “TGIF!” (Thank goodness it’s Friday!). These events are for women 18yrs+.

Some events are hosted in person while others are hosted online through Zoom (you can join in from anywhere!). Please see the “Events Calendar” (click the button below) to see our upcoming events.

Workshops

We launched this service in June 2021 through partnering with other organizations and workplaces in our community to offer weekly group discussions on various Life Skills. Since then we have launched our Building Self Esteem 8 Week Workshop Series, Managing Emotions 5 week Series, Assertive Communication and Setting Boundaries 7 week Series and will be adding MORE!

**NEW - “Talk It Out Tuesdays”! Join us every week to learn different strategies and skills that will help you: manage stress/anxiety and your emotions, build self-esteem and other health supporting habits and prioritize caring for yourself.

These Workshop Series are all about practicing mindfulness, improving your emotional wellbeing and gaining skills that help you understand and advocate for yourself as well as communicating and engaging with those around you.

While we run these online for the Fun Fearless Females community, these workshops are also available to community organizations, classrooms and groups everywhere! **These workshops can be hosted online (for anyone, anywhere) OR in person in Guelph, ON and the surrounding communities. Interested in hosted one of our Workshop Series for your organization, classroom or group in person? We also offer them as half or full day workshops!

Physical Well-Being

Fitness Coaching - This service helps individuals of all fitness levels and abilities to reach their fitness goals through consultation and individually designed fitness plans. Our focus is on feeling good inside and out, not chasing after an unrealistic body type or solely on losing weight; what's most important is finding joy in moving your body and feeling good! After creating a fitness plan that recognizes your needs you also have the option of regularly exercising with Lori, our experienced fitness coach through personal training sessions (in person or online) to help keep you motivated and stay committed. Embrace an active lifestyle, challenge yourself and reach new goals!

Stretch & Unwind Classes - Join us weekly on Monday mornings from 10:15am - 11:00am as Lori leads you in a series of stretches, breathing exercises and meditations to help you move your body in a gentle way; helping to deal with stiff, achy muscles, anxiety, low mood and stress. Gentle movement is a GREAT way to help your mind and body feel better! And the best part? You don't need any fancy equipment to join in, just your body ... and EVERY BODY can join! If you have things like: a yoga mat, pillows, a belt, a blanket, tennis ball ... you can use them to help support your body in some of the stretches and practices in class. Need to use a chair or other similar device? As an experienced group fitness instructor, Lori always shows options or modifications for movements to make them accessible for YOUR body.

**Stretch & Unwind is a Virtual program only - internet and a device to stream from (computer, phone, laptop etc.) is required.

Life Skills

Using an ABM, grocery shopping, loading the dishwasher, taking public transit (along with countless others) are all examples of important Life-Skills that many people take for granted. This service helps individuals to be more independent by using 'Task Analysis' (breaking down tasks into smaller, more manageable chunks) and visuals to build independence and promote success. Boost your confidence and learn new skills to help you be more independent in your day-to-day life!

Trips & Retreats

Join us for Overnight Trips & Retreats - visit places like Toronto and Niagara Falls or stay at a cottage for a few nights and enjoy a more relaxed pace away from the city. A great way to take a break from the everyday and enjoy a holiday with friends!
