Fun Fearless Females

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I join one of your programs?

New to Fun Fearless Females? Book a Meet & Greet!

Before attending your first program or event, we like to meet with you and tell you all about our amazing services while getting to know you a bit. At initial meetings we provide information about all of our services, give opportunities for questions and getting to know each other as well as learning more about your needs and sharing how we can best support them. If you would like someone to attend the meeting with you, please feel free to include them.

Are all of your services only for women with disabilities?

While we specialize and focus on supporting women with developmental disabilities, everyone is welcome to obtain our services. Our group programs are open to women 18+, however, our 1:1 support services are available to everyone. We truly believe in inclusion. Our programs are centred around supporting women of ALL abilities and we believe that ALL women can benefit from our services.

Why do you only allow women to join?

Our group programs are open to women 18+, however, our 1:1 support services are available to everyone. As a female owned business, Fun Fearless Females strives to promote and advocate for improving the health and wellbeing of ALL women.

How old do I have to be to join your programs or receive 1:1 support?

All of our services are available to women 18yrs+.

Approaching 18 years old or preparing to transition into adult based programs and services? Reach out to us to discuss how we can help you do so!

How much does it cost to attend your programs or receive 1:1 support?

Costs vary for each of our programs and support services. To receive up-to-date information on our group programs (including costs) subscribe to our newsletter and follow us on social media.

To obtain quotes for our 1:1 support services Book A Meet & Greet.

Are your services covered through Passport Funding?

YES! All of our services are eligible for reimbursement under Passport Funding (government funding for community participation services and supports available to adults with developmental disabilities 18+). Want to learn more about Passport Funding? Click here to be taken to their website.

Where do you host your group programs and events?

We host our group programs and events primarily in Guelph ON, however, we will also venture out to neighbouring communities (Kitchener Waterloo, Cambridge, Fergus, Elora, Toronto etc.) - especially for bigger excursions like those during the summer months.

For virtual events (such as Ladies Nights and Stretch & Unwind classes) we host them on a video web conferencing platform called Zoom.

Are your group programs, events and 1:1 support services fully accessible?

We strive to make as many of our programs and events as possible physically accessible for those attending. Unfortunately our communities are not always fully accessible and so we do our best to host events in locations that are fully accessible as much as possible.

Please contact us if you have any questions regarding the accessibility of any scheduled event or program.

I love what you do and want to help! How can I get involved?

First of all, thank you!

The biggest thing you can do to help us is SPREAD THE WORD! Word of mouth referrals are our biggest source of welcoming new women to our services. Follow us on Social Media; share our posts with friends, family and anyone who can benefit from our services. We love when people reach out and express an interest in volunteering, donating supplies or wanting to help the Fun Fearless Females community thrive! We are always looking for fun and fearless events to attend, or, individuals with fun and fearless talents, businesses or skills that they can share with or teach us. Feel free to reach out with any ideas or questions - we would love to connect with you!

COVID 19 Policy - We are excited to be offering in-person events again! We have been busy planning some fun events for our gradual transition back to "regular" programming while accounting for the continued need for social distancing, wearing protective equipment (masks, gloves) and best practices for sanitizing and hygiene. The use of facial masks and/or shields at our in person events is MANDATORY and anyone who attends must successfully complete and pass the COVID 19 Screening Survey. All of these elements have been factored into the development of our in-person events. We continue to follow the restrictions and guidelines as set by the Federal Government.

Your safety is our top priority!
